GFH12 K9 double-sided optical flats have two precision-ground and polished optical surfaces with high flatness and parallelism. Either surface can serve as a reference flat for assessing flatness errors and wringing performance of other highly finished surfaces.

The source states that each optical flat is precision-ground and tested using a Zygo interferometer to verify surface accuracy.

K9 optical glass offers high transmission over 350–2000 nm. The source describes high hardness, resistance to physical and chemical effects, and low bubble and impurity content, making it suitable as a substrate for optical components.
