Product description

GSPG Wollaston prisms split unpolarized input into two output beams with orthogonal polarization. The source describes the output directions as approximately symmetric about the input direction. These are cemented prisms for low-power laser use.

Mounted prisms use an aluminum housing. The source specifies input from the retaining-ring end; the two output rays lie in the same plane as the white marking line on the output face. Review each model’s housing diameter, length and clear aperture.

All listed model records state 300–2500 nm, an extinction ratio of 10⁵:1 and transmittance >85% at λ0=632.8 nm. The 15° separation angle is specified at 1064 nm; it is not a guaranteed constant throughout the wavelength range.

Schematic

Cemented Wollaston prism splitting light into two orthogonally polarized output beams. Optical path reference; not a manufacturing drawing.
GSPG cemented prism optical diagram with two diverging output rays and polarization arrows retained.

Category damage references are continuous50 W/cm² and pulsed100 MW/cm². Pulse duration and repetition rate are not stated. Confirm the required operating conditions rather than interpreting these incomplete references as a tested rating for a specific laser.

Calcite is temperature sensitive and scratches easily. The source advises 6–8 hours of thermal equilibration before unpacking, avoiding contact with optical faces and cleaning with an air bulb. Source illustrations are reference images, not manufacturing drawings.

The source installation example combines a GSPG Wollaston prism, GKM-03 adapter and GKM polarization mount. Illustrated mounting components are supplied separately; the installation example is not a dimensional schematic.
