GLH55 plano-convex cylindrical lenses are made from calcium fluoride (CaF₂) and have one plane surface and one convex cylindrical surface. Their positive focal length focuses parallel or diverging beams into a line or changes an image aspect ratio.
Cylindrical lenses act in one direction and are suitable for one-dimensional magnification. A pair can reshape an elliptical beam or collimate and circularize laser-diode output; a single lens can focus a diverging beam onto a detector array.
For line focusing of a collimated beam, orient the curved surface toward the incident light. For collimating a line source, orient the plane surface toward the source.

Available per-model coatings: Uncoated; IR1 antireflection coating; average reflectance <1.5% over 3–5μm.
Calcium fluoride has a source-stated transmission range of 180 nm to 8.0 μm, low fluorescence and high homogeneity. Its soft surface requires careful handling to avoid scratches.
Antireflection coatings reduce surface reflections and ghost images. Select the coating band specified for the individual model.
Rectangular cylindrical lenses can use adjustable cylindrical lens mounts; round versions can use adjustable round lens mounts. Mounts are separate components.

Dimensions retain the source order for rectangular sizes and the Ø designation for round sizes. A slash (/) means the source does not supply that value; it is not zero. General tolerances are reproduced at series level; verify the individual model drawing for precision design.
